App: Plank Room Planner (https://plank-room-planner.lovable.app)
Effective date: 19 October 2026

Welcome! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Plank Room Planner (the “App”), operated by It Is Leon, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) established in the Netherlands. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The short version

  • The App is free. We never charge you and never ask for payment details.
  • The App is provided “as is”, for general planning purposes only.
  • It is not professional advice (not from an architect, structural engineer, or building-code expert).
  • Don’t rely on the App for safety-critical decisions. If in doubt, hire a professional.
  • We provide the App in our free time and accept — as far as the law allows — no liability for its use.

2. The App and its purpose

Plank Room Planner is a free tool for creating simple room plans. Content you create without an account may be lost when you close your session; create a free account to save plans.

3. Your account

  • Accounts are free. You can register with an email address or sign in with Google.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account.
  • You may delete your account at any time via this form; your data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose;
  • Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its accounts, or its infrastructure;
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the App or its content;
  • Impersonate others or misuse the “Sign in with Google” feature.

5. Your content

  • Ownership: Plans and content you create remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
  • Licence to us: You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content, solely as needed to run the App for you.
  • Responsibility: You’re responsible for the content you create and must not infringe others’ rights.

6. Intellectual property

The App itself — its design, code, and branding — is owned by us and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy or reuse it without permission.

7. No professional advice

The App is a general-purpose planning aid. Output from the App (including measurements and layouts) is not professional advice and does not comply-verify against the Dutch Bouwbesluit or any other building regulation. Structural, safety, and building-code decisions require a qualified professional.

8. Availability

We provide the App on a best-effort basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, including features or the entire App. We aim to keep your saved plans available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or permanent availability — so export anything important.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including mandatory Dutch and EU consumer law, which prevails where applicable):

  • The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
  • We are not liable for any damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App, including indirect or consequential damages.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. intentional misconduct or gross negligence under Dutch law, or your statutory consumer rights).

Because the App is free of charge and provided on a non-commercial goodwill basis, the scope of our liability is as narrow as the law allows.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the App.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you a right to sue in your own jurisdiction.
